School Pictures

We all know that one of the main reasons we are creating scrapbooks for our children is to have a beautiful display at their graduation party.  I have come up with an easy two page layout to display all of your annual school pictures chronologically.  By the time they graduate you will have a great piece to frame or display at their celebration.  It is so easy to make and add to each year.

The layout includes 12 photo mats that will fit the 3 x 5 pictures. This spread will accomodate their Kindergarten through 11th grade pictures, or 1st through 12th grade.  I plan to do the K - 11 and feature their graduation pictures on a seperate spread.

After the Retreat

I just got back from my annual fall retreat with the "Sassy Scrappers". A group of 13+ ladies that enjoy cropping and matting as much as I do. This year I completed over 70 pages and gained over 7 pounds thanks to the Janzig girls. Here are a few of my favorite pages I made over the weekend.

"Three Little Monkeys"

I made this layout to use as a growth chart.   The leaves will note weight and height of baby at milestones, and the 2nd page can house special pictures of those special moments.

"Bright" Colorful Pages

If you are like me, you gravitate to bright cheerful colors when scrapbooking. Doodlebug Designs is one of the best lines of products to use to create designs that "Stand Out".   Here is my latest use of there most recent product line.

I created a 3D border by cutting circles and folding in half, alternating patterns around the paper and using foam tabs inside the fold to make the border POP!   For the flowers I used Doodlebug's colorful twine to create a fun whimsical look topping them off with a little bling!
I used different prints of paper to create a ribbon look and then embellished them with brads.
I also used Doodlebug's twine under a scalloped border for more whimsy.
